Radio Szczecin broadcasted its first signal in December 1945 and is one of the earliest divisions of the Polish Radio. Since 2008, Radio Szczecin has been a member of the Euranet European radio network. In the 90’s the station pioneered in implementation of computer technology into production and broadcasting of radio programmes.

A decision to modernise and digitalise the switching room was a next step towards new technologies. Konsbud Audio had an opportunity to install DHD RM5200 modular system. The main components thereof are central router, computer software, digital controller of the router, and a set of digital intercom stands. Radio Szczecin S.A. has obtained a state-of-the-art technology that has integrated all of the existing solutions. New technology saves a lot of precious space in the switching room and provides much more efficient energy usage.
