Beginning of a new chapter in the history of Łódź Musical Theatre came together with International Music Day. The theatre was reopened to the public and the revitalized performance hall has filled with music. The theatre building has been thoroughly modernised. Visitors are now immensely impressed by renovated interior and significantly improved acoustics. The sound reinforcement system have been adjusted to the needs of the venue and its sound engineers.

Konsbud Audio was responsible for integration of the electro-acoustic system. Working in a consortium with PS Teatr company, we have installed sound reinforcement systems in the performance hall and the lobby, stage manager system, upper machinery system, stage and utility lighting system, revolving stage and transport trapdoor. Large balcony takes almost one third of the hall, so it was a great challenge to provide balanced sound distribution all over the chamber. We have divided the auditorium into zones and equipped each of them with separate electroacoustic devices. As a result, we were able to achieve a goal that is crucial for each sound reinforcement system - best possible sound transmission and same listening conditions in every part of an audience. The sound reinforcement system must have been suited to an evolving nature of the theatre and a growing number of musicals in its repertoire. We have managed to provide such technical solutions that the theatre can put on any kind of stage performance.
