Aquasfera is a complex housing one of the most modern Olympic-size swimming pools in Europe. The stand seats 1500 spectators and additional 146 seats are intended for competitors. Because of its professional equipment and maintenance of high standards, the facility is often used to organise sports events of the highest rank, such as international swimming competitions. The sound reinforcement installation made by Konsbud Audio covers the main hall of the swimming pool and,
thanks to integration with the existing Sound Warning System, allows transmitting sounds to other zones.

The main task facing the contractor was to ensure the highest quality of emitted audio signals and speech legibility. It was not easy because of unusually difficult acoustic conditions. Significant dimensions of the swimming pool hall imply high reverberation time. It is very humid inside and the place gets very hot on sunny days. The problem was solved by applying appropriate delays and corrections on particular loudspeaker lines which were programmed in amplifier processors. According to the design concept, an intuitive system has been created, easy to maintain and operate, which does not require the user to have knowledge about electroacoustic issues. The installation is ready for possible expansion in future.
